MARCH 2024

CITROTEC® RECEIVED ASME CERTIFICATION.

The Company is the 60º Brazilian company to get the certification reference around the world in pressure equipment production.

Citrotec® achieved ASME Certification, the most widely used reference standard worldwide to produce pressure equipment. The seal is required by 140 countries for the sale of products such as boilers, pressure vessels, high pressure piping and safety valves, among others.

The last audit to obtain certification took place in March. “The organizations that receive it have a high-quality system in place that meets all the requirements of the ASME code in the manufacturing and design of their equipment”, highlights the technical director of Citrotec®, Paulo Sampaio.

In Brazil, Citrotec® is the 60th company to achieve certification. “We are very proud of this new achievement,” he says.

ASME

Founded in 1880, ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) covers everything from the critical analysis of the contract to the final testing and marking of the equipment. In this way, it is a complex and unified quality system that requires changes in the company's culture, based on a clear and comprehensive vision of the system's objectives and procedures.

Authorized representatives in Brazil monitor the entire certification process and, in the final phase, audit the quality system of the company applying for the certificate.

Citrotec® went through all the necessary processes to obtain certification, with a specialized team that involved the engineering, production, shipping, welding and boiler making sectors, led by the quality department.

“After the tireless dedication of the entire team, achieving ASME certification is another important step in the development of our equipment, generating greater safety and quality for customers”, says Sampaio.
