CITROTEC® GIVES A LECTURE AT XII SOLENIS TECHNICAL WEEK

Débora Trevolin Pereira spoke about how important the Vinasse Concentrators in the Energy, Sugar and Ethanol Industries are.

In the last day March 12, Citrotec® was invite to participate of XII Solenis Technical Week with a lecture about the importance of the company equipment at the sucroenergy area. The development of these technologies has revolutionized the sector and has become Citrotec® reference in this market currently.

In this occasion the automation engineer of Citrotec®, Débora Trevolin Pereira, spoke about the Vinasse Concentrators at the energy, sugar and ethanol industries. The technology come with a wonderful option to the industrial area, cause decrease the waste volume, decrease the operational costs and become more sustainable management, as it meets environmental and socioeconomic demands.

“We have constantly invested at the innovations of theses equipment to bring more advantages and results Every time better to our clients”, said Pereira at the lecture.

ECOVIN® AND ECOVIN JL®

Citrotec® applies the principle of evaporation by descending turbulent mist in two of its vinasse concentrating equipment: Ecovin® and Ecovin JL®.

Ecovin® is a powerful vinasse concentration evaporator that, using the principle of descending turbulent mist, reduces the volume of vinasse by 10 times or more. This allows the concentrated vinasse to be used for various purposes, such as organic liquid fertilizer, which brings great savings on transport and fertilization in the field. Furthermore, it allows the use of low pressure steam (V1).

Ecovin® is also used in the concentration of corn vinasse. The benefit of operating a corn ethanol vinasse concentration plant is to make the plant a closed circuit, where there is no vinasse going to the field. The vinasse is incorporated into the DDG.

Ecovin JL®, on the other hand, had its project developed in partnership between Citrotec®, distillery scientist Jaime Lacerda, an icon in the sugar-energy sector and maintains continuous improvements, reaching its second generation of development in partnership with ETECH, also renowned Engineer Paulo S. Barci. A powerful vinasse concentration evaporator, the Ecovin JL® is a vinasse concentration system that, using the principle of descending turbulent mist and coupled to the distillation columns, allows the production of alcohol with the vinasse already concentrated, without additional steam consumption.

Ecovin JL® maintains continuous improvements in partnership with ETECH. Its vinasse concentration system for corn also uses the principle of descending turbulent mist, coupled to ETECH distillation columns, to produce corn ethanol with concentrated vinasse without additional steam consumption. Corn vinasse is incorporated into DDG.

The implementation of this technology is aligned with the cost of producing concentrated vinasse versus the cost of road transport to be used in the field, depending on the associated degree of concentration, which will indicate the size of the equipment and energy expenditure. The concentration of vinasse, in addition to producing an organic fertilizer with management closer to mineral fertilizer, also produces a vegetable condensate, which, depending on its quality, can be reused in the process, enabling the use of water from the sugarcane itself, and consequently reducing the capture of water from water resources.

Citrotec® thanks the company Solenis for the invitation and partnership.
